Ben Stiller Says He Was Diagnosed With Prostate Cancer

Ben Stiller was diagnosed with prostate cancer two years ago, the actor revealed Tuesday. The 50-year-old Zoolander star opened up about his diagnosis during an interview on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show.

“It came out of the blue for me. I had no idea,” Stiller said. “At first, I didn’t know what was going to happen. I was scared. It just stopped everything in your life because you can’t plan for a movie because you don’t know what’s going to happen.”

The actor and father of two told Stern that upon learning of his diagnosis, he immediately called fellow Hollywood star Robert De Niro, who had also been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Stiller says he credits early detection with his positive outcome.
