The Duchess of Cambridge is known for her great sense of style—she even wore designer outfits while leaving the hospital with her newborn children—and for her thrift. One blazer she’s worn since at least 2012; another gown has been in the limelight since 2011. Some of her go-to items have even been in her life for longer than Prince William.
Cosmo pointed out that Kate Middleton loves recycling worn-in boots as much as the next girl. Her brown, knee-high Penelope Chilvers boots have made their way across continents since their first public appearance at the Festival of British Eventing in 2004, most recently surfacing on the royals’ trip to Canada.
It’s not the first time HRH has committed the cardinal but all-too-normal sin of outfit repeating. Cosmo counted 78 other times she’s re-worn jackets, dresses and shoes, signifying that she does not, as many would assume, throw away her designer items once they’ve been used. Instead, like the rest of us, she launders her clothing and re-wears the things she likes.
