Actress and activist Olivia Wilde has been known for speaking out about issues important to her—especially ones that pertain to motherhood. From posting about subway riders not allowing her a seat during her pregnancy to breastfeeding her son in a photoshoot, Wilde is unafraid to discuss maternity. Now, she’s commenting on the future of her children by announcing her support for Hillary Clinton.
“As someone who is about to have a daughter, this hits me deep in my core,” Wilde tweeted on Saturday, breaking the news that she’s pregnant with a girl with a link to a recent Clinton ad and the hashtag #NeverTrump.
The ad that Wilde shared has been making waves across the nation, as it shows women looking in the mirror while Trump’s misogynistic comments play in the background. Clinton’s tweet with the 30-second clip, in which she says, “When Donald Trump speaks about women, our daughters can hear him,” has already been shared over 15,000 times.
