To celebrate the Cubs having the best record in the MLB, former Chicagoan Stephen Colbert recently went undercover as a hot dog vendor to interact with fans at Wrigley Field. In a clip that was shown during Thursday night’s episode of The Late Show, the host donned a disguise of sunglasses, a fake goatee and a baseball cap with fake hair to try his hand at peddling the park’s franks.
After playing a game of hot dog catch with Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber, Colbert entered the stands ready to start his shift. And with selling points such as, “Life is short, we could die at any minute, who wants a hot dog?,” people had a difficult time saying no.
