If you only read one thing: Donald Trump’s continued confusion about his revised immigration plan has supporters and opponents alike puzzled about what he truly intends to do. In the last 48 hours, Trump has provided contradictory policies—from opposing “amnesty” to calling for those in the U.S. illegally to pay back taxes and that he’d “work with them” to stay. Trump’s shift comes after he ran to the right of his rivals on immigration in the GOP, attacking them for shifting because of poll numbers. Now he appears to be doing the same thing.
Hillary Clinton will seek to cast Trump as an enabler of the alt-right and “very much peddling bigotry, and prejudice, and paranoia” in a speech Thursday. Her comments come after Trump called her a “bigot” Wednesday. Meanwhile, she continues her defense on the Clinton Foundation, claiming the organization subjected itself to unprecedented transparency while she was at the State Department. But it was only unprecedented because so large a potential conflict of interest had never before existed, and despite their efforts, the foundation was found to have violated its agreement with the Obama Administration on at least one occasion.
Bernie Sanders’ campaign troubles continue. Clinton’s answer to why she hasn’t held a press conference. And what Donald Trump knew about undocumented workers at Trump Tower.

“I have been asked many, many questions in the past year about emails and what I have learned is that when I try to explain what happened, it can sound like I am trying to excuse what I did. And there are no excuses. I want people to know that the decision to have a single email account was mine. I take responsibility for it. I apologize for it.
