Gilmore Girls is coming to life this fall with a festival taking place in the town that inspired the show’s setting.
Washington Depot, Conn., will transform into Stars Hollow this October for the Gilmore Girls Fan Fest, a three-day affair dedicated to celebrating all things Gilmore. The town of Washington Depot directly inspired show creator Amy Sherman-Palladino to create Stars Hollow.
The festival promises several themed activities sure to draw in any Gilmore Girls fan who has long dreamt of visiting Stars Hollow. Cast members Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore), Jackson Douglas (Jackson Belleville), Yanic Truesdale (Michel Gerard), Vanessa Marano (April Nardini) and several others have confirmed they will attend the event.
A knit-a-thon, coffee at the hardware store, cake tasting and a ‘Friday Night Dinner’ are in the works. The series pilot, finale and 10 episodes of fans’ choosing will be shown during the festival.
The festival will take place Oct. 21-23, about a month before the Gilmore Girls revival airs on Netflix. Tickets are available here.
