But today, electropop band [Lolawolf](https://twitter.com/lolawolfband) (fronted by Zoë Kravitz, daughter of the [legendary Lenny](http://time.com/4016820/miley-cyrus-her-dead-petz-review/?iid=sr-link1)) dropped a new single featuring Cyrus’s distinctive drawl. The stripped-down song, [“Teardrop,”](https://t.co/VYf2GfwPbV) is equal parts eerie and catchy. Cyrus comes in strong to recite a distorted, morbid spoken interlude, too. “Forever is like Jesus, it’s just / Something that we’ve made our self believe in / So… makes maybe our death a little less scary,” she opines. “Love’s not a game and if it is I don’t want to play.” (So far, it’s only available on iTunes and Apple Music.) It doesn’t have quite the emotional heft of “Wrecking Ball” or banger quality of “We Can’t Stop,” but the slow-burning melody — like a boozed-up Lorde song — is a nice antidote to summer’s [string of poppy earworms](http://time.com/4375476/dj-earworm-summersmash-16-mashup/?iid=sr-link6). Lolawolf is set to release their debut album before the season is out; previously, the [trio band had opened](https://mic.com/articles/149175/miley-cyrus-and-lolawolf-debut-tear-drop-via-apple-music-s-beats-1#.UQstN5ASK) for Cyrus’s _Bangerz_ tour. Cyrus, meanwhile, has most recently been spotted hanging [with her former fiancé](https://www.instagram.com/p/BH-2FSVB6OV/) Liam Hemsworth and [getting a tattoo](http://time.com/4401005/miley-cyrus-liam-hemsworth-vegemite-tattoo/?iid=sr-link7) of the Aussie savory spread Vegemite last week.
