Kelly Clarkson Says She Never Voted on American Idol Until Now

On Wednesday evening, one night into the two-night finale of American Idol, Kelly Clarkson took to Twitter to announce that she’d be voting for La’Porsha Renae over Trent Harmon or Dalton Rapattoni.

American Idol will be over on Thursday after 15 momentous seasons — the first of which, of course, Clarkson won, back in 2002. When she wrote that she’d be voting for La’Porsha, she also disclosed that she’d never voted for a contestant on American Idol, not even herself.
