If you live in New Hampshire, chances are you’ve come across a presidential candidate—even if you’re not eligible to vote for another decade.
TIME caught up with some kids at recent Granite State campaign events to hear their thoughts on the 2016 election.
Some were well-versed in all the candidates. Others had a favorite, or at least knew who their parents’ favorite was. And some had a little trouble telling the candidates apart.
But even if you are in primary school in New Hampshire, you know something about the primary.
