One of the charming things about the Iowa caucuses are the speeches given by ordinary Iowans on behalf of their preferred candidates.

Some Iowa residents are chosen by the campaign to speak on their behalf, while others take it upon themselves to endorse a candidate publicly.

Almost all are rough-hewn versions of the more polished campaigns’ own speeches, but that lends them an authenticity.
