Ahead of the major look at DC’s cinematic future airing Tuesday night in a TV special on The CW, Warner Bros. has unveiled a new image of the league of heroes hitting theaters in 2017.
A new DC Films Facebook page has debuted concept art of the Justice League, including a first look at what the DC film universe’s takes on Cyborg and the Flash will be. The full line-up includes those two heroes, as well as Aquaman (Jason Mamoa), Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). While the full team won’t make its official debut until 2017 in the first part of two Justice League films, Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman will hit theaters on March 25 in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
A notable Justice League member, Green Lantern, is not depicted, though no official casting has been revealed for the character who is set to have his own film in 2020. Ray Fisher has been cast as Cyborg while Ezra Miller will play the DCU version of The Flash. Amber Heard is also in early talks to play a role in the film, while director Zack Snyder has teased that the Justice League films will explore at the “mythology” behind Dawn of Justice baddie Doomsday.
Warner Bros. is set to offer a look at the upcoming DC cinematic slate, including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and Wonder Woman (which revealed its official logo on a new Twitter account) during the special DC Films Presents: Dawn of the Justice League presentation on The CW on Jan. 19.
