Batman and Superman are taking their epic rivalry to the breakfast bowls.
The iconic superheroes have inspired General Mills and Warner Bros. to team up to create two different cereals ahead of the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie, the food company announced Monday.
Fans of the DC Comics characters can choose between “Superman Caramel Crunch” and “Batman Chocolate Strawberry” as the boxes hit shelves across the country this week. The crunchy pieces are shaped like Superman’s shield, while the chocolate strawberry ones are modeled after Batman’s emblem.
“Superman and Batman continue to appeal to the generations of fans that have enjoyed them for decades, as well as new superhero fans experiencing them for the first time,” Alan Cunningham, a senior marketing manager at General Mills, said in a statement. “We spent extensive time and effort to develop the flavors and look of these cereals, and their packaging, so that they will match the incredible quality of the characters they feature.”
The film hits theaters on March 25.
