Jennifer Lawrence nabbed a Golden Globe nomination this year for her performance in Joy, but she doesn’t want to win: She wants Trainwreck star (and good friend) Amy Schumer to take home the trophy.
“Her performance was the year. She was the year,” Lawrence said on Late Night With Seth Meyers Tuesday. “She drew the map, she wrote it out, she put herself on it, and then she showed us the map. … That’s who I would vote for.”
Schumer’s a little less supportive: “As soon as I saw that we were both nominated, I took her right out of my phone because our friendship is obviously over,” she joked to EW after getting nominated. “It’s really every woman for herself at this point, and I don’t want her to kind of get in my head, you know?”
Lawrence is perfectly content to have Schumer in her head though. “I get asked about Amy on all of these press tours more than anything,” she told Meyers, “which is great, because endorphins get released in my brain when I talk about her.” Aww.
