One Direction was never the kind of boy band to wear matching outfits or perform synchronized choreography—until James Corden came along for a segment of the Late Late Show’s Carpool Karaoke. As is often the case when he’s driving around with bands, Corden is much more excited about singing their songs than they are, but even the hiatus-bound One Direction can’t help but get into the stunt once they get a whiff of Corden’s enthusiasm: just look at their response to Corden’s high notes in the middle of “Best Song Ever.”
