If you’re in the market for a new video game console, the Thanksgiving shopping season is almost always a great time to buy. That’s true once again this year.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One abound this year, with some of the cheapest prices ever seen for either console. Here are some of the highlights — note that some of these are limited-time “doorbuster” deals.
PlayStation 4
Sony just recently dropped the starting cost of a PlayStation 4 to $349.99. But for an even better Black Friday deal, check out retailers like Target, Best Buy, Walmart and more, where you’ll find the console bundled with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for $299. If you’re a Star Wars fan, Best Buy and GameStop are offering Star Wars Battlefront PlayStation 4 bundles for $349.
Xbox One
Microsoft announced Friday that some Xbox One bundles will be on sale for a limited time at $299, its lowest-ever price. Meanwhile, Best Buy is advertising a bundle that includes the hotly anticipated Rise of the Tomb Raider, an older Lara Croft game and an extra controller for $349.99. And Dell will sell you an Xbox One with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, plus Fallout 4, plus an extra controller, all for $299.99
Nintendo Wii U
Looking for Nintendo’s console? Head over to Walmart, where you’ll find the Wii U bundled with two of its best games — Super Smash Bros. and Splatoon — all for $249.99.
