In honor of Wednesday night’s CMA Awards, Jimmy Kimmel Live! aired a special country music edition of the show’s mean tweets segment. Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Tim McGraw were among the artists who appeared to read online insults about themselves on live TV. While Underwood wasn’t even sure what her tweet was trying to say, some of the other performers were hit with more brutal remarks.
Rascal Flatts laughed off a request for the band to stop making music while Florida Georgia Line received a unique snub: “I would rather listen to the sound of my grandpa eating a nectarine for 3:30 than listen to a Florida Georgia Line song.”
However, it was Willie Nelson who seemed to take his tweet most in stride. After reading a post stating that the 82-year-old singer being alive is proof that marijuana works wonders, Nelson responded, “You got it.”
