Comedy Central announced Wednesday that the network was canceling that night’s episode of The Daily Show as host Trevor Noah recuperates from an emergency appendectomy performed earlier in the day. Noah is reportedly recovering well following a successful procedure. The network will instead air a rerun of the nightly program, which Noah took over from previous host Jon Stewart in September. Noah, who was slated to interview director David Holbrooke about his new documentary The Diplomat, is expected to return with an original episode Thursday night.
