A shocked couple awoke in the middle of the night to find an uninvited bedfellow.
Chris and Katie, residents of Maroubra, Australia, say they woke up at about 1:45 a.m. to find a naked intruder had snuck into bed with them.
“Chris is on one side, I’m in the middle and then our stranger on the end right in with us,” Katie told The Daily Telegraph. “So just the sense of someone next to me who shouldn’t be there…It was terrifying.”
The 25-year-old man allegedly broke into their home by coming in through a window they had left open, according to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald.
Katie said she telephoned the police while Chris tried to shut the intruder in the backyard of their home. The man then climbed back in the house through a kitchen window and wandered around until police arrived and arrested him.
The moral of the story? Keep your pets inside and your windows locked.
