Betty White is the latest celebrity to speak out about the killing of Cecil the lion earlier this month in Zimbabwe.
“You don’t want to hear some of the things I want to do to that man,” the passionate animal activist told the Associated Press on Thursday.
The man she’s referring to is Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer, who paid $55,000 to kill the beloved big cat while on a hunting trip.
Palmer released a statement earlier this week apologizing for shooting the animal, but the circumstances surrounding the killing of the lion, who was lured from a wildlife preserve, are now being investigated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, CNN reports.
“It’s such a heartbreaker,” White, 93, added. “You can’t even talk about it, and to see this king of the jungle and personifying it in every way, this gorgeous creature. How can somebody do that?”
