After we were all introduced to Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair, the woman formerly known as Bruce Jenner received support from both family and celebrities alike. And now, Jenner’s mother Esther says she thinks the former Olympian is “beautiful.”
In an interview with Access Hollywood on Monday, Esther Jenner said that she had already met Caitlyn before her magazine debut and that Jenner is “so much more at ease.”
Esther said she will refer to Caitlyn as Bruce for now. “I still have to call him Bruce. His father and I named him that,” she told Access Hollywood. “It’s going to be a struggle for me to get used to the change, but happily so… I’m very happy for him – or her!”
When asked if Caitlyn reminded her of any celebrities (many have made the comparison to actress Jessica Lange), Esther noted that she actually resembles one of her granddaughters, Caitlyn’s niece, Samantha.
