Attention all Mulder and Scully shippers: The X-Files‘ David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson sang together Tuesday night.
The two are reuniting for more X-Files, but that won’t come until January, as Entertainment Weekly reported. No, this was some extracurricular crooning at New York’s The Cutting Room, where Duchovny was holding a concert on the day his album, Hell or Highwater, was released.
According to Sky News, before launching into Neil Young’s “Helpless” the two engaged in some light ribbing. “Can we play some real music please?” Anderson reportedly said.
The quality of the singing is debatable, but there’s a squeal-worthy moment at the end.
