What better way to celebrate Star Wars Day than building the world’s largest Millennium Falcon entirely out of small colored bricks?
Dan and Chris Steininger, father and son Lego master builders from the U.S., aided by a team of fans, took two days to construct the iconic Star Wars spacecraft in time for May 4. The feat took place at the Westfield Southland mall in Melbourne, Australia, reports Australian newspaper the Age.
The finished model is a whopping 5 m wide and was built from around 250,000 Lego bricks.
The duo also built two imperial TIE fighters, each standing 2 m high and made of 80,000 bricks.
In the Star Wars universe, the Millennium Falcon is commanded by Han Solo (played by Harrison Ford in the first three films) with Chewbacca (Peter Mayhew) as his first mate.
