Like it or not, Thanksgiving is over, and the barrage of Christmas cheer won’t be stopping until the sidewalks are strewn with the carcasses of Douglas firs. But since you probably haven’t heard “Simply Having a Wonderful Christmas Time” six dozen times on the radio, two minutes of Christmas fun are still relatively innocuous.
This supercut of “The Greatest Christmas Films of All Time” combines 1940s classics like It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street with modern additions to the genre, including Love Actually and Elf. With a few middling selections like 2003’s Bad Santa and the Arnold Schwarzenegger dud Jingle All the Way, there’s a case to be made for removing the word “Greatest” from the video’s title. But there are enough gems to let the stinkers slide. ‘Tis the season to be generous, after all.
