University of Evansville

Evansville, INwww.evansville.edu/
The most popular majors at the University of Evansville, in southern Indiana, are an eclectic bunch. Engineering disciplines, especially mechanical, draw a decent chunk of the school's about 2,300 students, as do health-related majors, including healthcare management, exercise science, and nursing. Education is a common major, while the drama program is part of a standout department that draws national recognition. As such, it's not surprising that this private university, affiliated with the Methodist church, boasts that its broad liberal arts curriculum can prepare students for any career path. University of Evansville is located in the medium-sized city for which it's named, a home to over 100,000 people on the banks of the Ohio River. Evansville oversees a campus in Grantham, England, called Harlaxton College, which is located at a Downton Abbey-like manor. The majority of students spend at least a short study abroad stint there. When they're not studying, students can keep busy in one of 150 student organizations, or by cheering on the Purple Aces in one of the 15 teams that compete in Division I athletics. Around 30% of students participate in a very active Greek community.
