False Memory Syndrome is wreaking havoc in Crouch’s alternate universe, where people are driven to make catastrophic decisions after remembering experiences they’ve never had. Like his 2016 book Dark Matter, this novel is a page-turner as it wrestles with how memory influences sanity. No surprise that it’s already being adapted for Netflix by Shonda Rhimes.
