>> My name is Angelique Kidjo and I'm a [ unk ] from [ unk ] West Africa. What [ unk ]. It cannot be better than that. I come from a very small country and very poor family. My fortune was the family that I have. And there's always you you are the best person on earth. The [ unk ] telling you- you wanna say do always with your heart. What makes me wanna reach back to my root was the death of my father. He was the one that allowed us all to have access to American music, European music, Indian music, Asian music and whatever- and whatever music is this on this planet [ unk ]. When I was growing up, my father never said to me, this is the type of music that you'd have to listen to.

He gave us the freedom to listen to any type of music. So, that's why I was able to do the music that I've been doing for so many years. When [ unk ] arrived on the turntable, my brothers, I'm like, oh, what is that? I decided to use this song as an anthem for the youth of the world, specifically to the youth of Africa. I wanted to give them that [ unk ] that you can move a lot. You can embrace your future and refuse to give the right to somebody to [ unk ]. This year is the 50th anniversary of the [ unk ] in Africa. And one of the question I asked is what are we celebrating? We move forward to [ unk ] society.

I wouldn't look forward to a society where a child of [ unk ] have good education and good care system. In Africa, no. We are far away from it.
