## Transcript

[ MUSIC ] NBS free agency officially begins on July 1st and once again all roads lead to Labron. James has to inform the Calves whether he intends to opt out of the final year of his contract, should he decide to become an unrestricted free agent. Cleveland can outbid any other team by offering him a five- year max contract worth approximately $ 205 million. Other orgs can pitch James starting on July 1st, but the Cavs don't have to wait since he's already on their team. Unlike two years ago when there was a salary cap Spike and every team had money to spend. Not many teams have a flexible cap space this year.

It's why league wide operations are waiting on James's move. Teams interested in recruiting him and even other free agents, interested in those perspective team, wait on James's decision. Lebron basically holds the NBA hostage until he decides. Currently Golden State Warriors' Steph Curry is the only NBA player earning more than James with the 2017 / 2018 season. James has Changed teams during free agency twice in his career. First in 2010, when he left Cleveland to join the Miami Heat, leading to four finals trips and two rings. The second time was in 2014 when he returned to the Cavs, resulting in four more finals appearances and an additional ring.

Discussing his priorities earlier this month after the Cavs's loss in the finals, he said this. I mean for me, I still have so much to give to the game. And like I said when you have a goal and you are able to accomplish that goal, it actually for me personally it made me more hungry to continue to win championships. And I still want to be in a championship mode and I think I I'll show this year why I will still continue to be in championship mode. Currently it's been rhumored that the Lakers, Cavaliers, and 76ers are expected to be James' top three choices. The Lakers actually have a significant cap space to work with, with a little over $ 45 Million to spare.

Heavy weights like Paul George and Chris Paul are also to hit free agency this summer But it's a question of whether teams will be offering maximum salaries to these all- stars. By the end of the summer, most free agency moves will follow what LeBron James decides. Hey, he's King James for a reason.
