Jimmy Kimmel Live is filming in Austin for South By Southwest this week and invited Texas' governor, Rick Perry, on the show, but when he took the stage, big boos. Thank you for coming. [ SOUND ] Well, you're getting. You do know how to get, we do know how to get them stirred up. Yikes. Perry was booed throughout the interview, until that is he brought up the decriminalization of marijuana. That, elicited cheers. As Perry put it Austin is the blueberry in the tomato soup, it's a little different than the rest of the state. Austin that might not love Perry, but he is the state's longest running governor.

Still, he wouldn't tell Kimmel whether he'll run for president again, saying this crowd was not the one to make that announcement for. That also got cheers. Though Perry did add. You know, America is a great place for second chances. Yeah, yeah. Thanks for watching. I'm Lauren Zima.
