## Transcript

Yeah [ INAUDIBLE ] Senator two part question. First of all, you, you said you're having fun. But there are a lot of people in the political class and the chattering class who in the past have written off a Clinton who is running for president. A lot of them are saying now your campaign is in a downward spiral. What do you say to the Washington chattering class about that? [ LAUGH ] And two, would you rule out running any ads, whether you called them comparative or negative, that mentioned your opponents here in Iowa? Well first of all if I had listened to what you describe as the Washington chattering class I wouldn't be standing here, would I?

I believe in trusting my own instincts and trusting the American people. That's what's gotten me where I am. That's what I believe in. That's what my campaign is premised on and I feel very, very good about the case that I'm making. And, you know, with respect to anything negative, I would be happy to enter into an agreement with everyone. But it would have to be an agreement with everyone. And. But, but if there's no agreement would you rule out running ads that mention your opponents? Well, I think contrasts are legitimate, Mark, my goodness, I mean, there are big differences between me and say Senator Obama and healthcare.

I think that is a legitimate issue in this campaign. You know, he has a healthcare plan that doesn't cover every American. My plan does. I think for voters who care about healthcare, the quality of those second two categories that Leonard was talking about, it is a defining contrast, so if you call that negative, I don't know what's left in politics. Well, we're comparative so do you plan to run ads on healthcare talking about his record? You know, I don't know what we're going to do, Mark. I'm having a great time running the campaign I'm running and you'll just have to stay tuned.
