## Transcript

Welcome to the PageCast. It's Monday, September 29th. I'm Mark Halperin with your 1, 002 things to watch for in politics today. First, on the bailout, watch the thousand possible things that can happen, to many to mention here. What kind of whip count will there be? What kind of whip operation will there be on a bipartisan basis? Who will vote for and against? What will talk radio do? What will the bloggers do? What will the presidential candidates do? So much to watch for there, watch it play out. Second, watch the Sarah Palin factor. Lots of speculation and talk about whether she will perform well enough in Thursday's debate reporting about how the McCain campaign is putting McCain's top advisers to help her prepare another Katie Couric interview, watch all of that.

And then finally the most important thing, not saying the race is over here, but there is whispering and talk amongst people in both parties that with Obama's strong debate performance with some of the recent polling in national polls and state policy advertising, the financial crisis, some of the other dynamics that Obama's advantage in the electoral college has moved back to a place where it's going to be very difficult for McCain can win. Things can change, but watch to see how that chatter affects the overall press coverage and the dynamic within the race. Those are your 1, 002 things to watch for in politics today.

You can get all the political news all the time right here on The Page. For now in Gotham City, I'm Mark Halperin. Thanks for watching the PageCast.
