The objective of the game is to throw a white Ping- Pong ball into a cup of beer. They're setup in [ unk ] formation. If you hit the cup, you remove the cup and the other person drinks the beer and that's pretty much it. The objective of the game is to get all your teams, opposing teams to cups off the table and then once you do, you win the game. >> We're all [ unk ] rule, re- rack at, wait, re- rack at six, four, three, two. Bounces are fair, no blowing, go. >> Everybody has their own set of rules and some vary from others. >> There's a lot of strategy in the game also like how we started out, you know, I'm a big pool player, I usually shoot at the cups that are closest to front cups. My party usually will hit it if they get balls back, you know, a lot of times, we could go on a run and, you know, we can end the game quickly. We've had games where we've all hit 10 in a row, the other team hasn't even shot theirs once. >> Other states actually have rules against beer pong, against, you know, I guess the drinking aspect of it. They don't actually look at it as a sport. >> It's a sport because it's two players on a team, it's like, you know, you play against two players, there's a strategy involved. >> It's shooting balls into a cup, is the same as throwing a dart at a dartboard, same as playing a basketball game at the end of the day. >> Pools, darts, you know, they're not considered like sports, sports on a big money levels but they're sports and like bar leagues and what not so beer pong is actually considered a small time sport. Hopefully, it'll be big time sometime. >> All the guys that I see, that excel in this sport, the guys that I know have all been athletes. I was a basketball player, he was a baseball player so we have, you know an athletic and a competitive mentality and we brought into a different game. I looked at it like a foul shot, the same motion, it's an easy shot. You have to have accuracy, you to have a depth perception where the cups are. >> Because we play beer pong at the bars is not because we wanna binge drink like what me and Mike are in for is the money. >> Through the [ unk ] myself, I've won three Cancun trips, you know, Barbados, Cancun, Cabo. >> We won $ 15000 last month alone playing beer pong and that was just a month. >> Last year alone, I made about $ 25000 which is more money than I was making when I used to work as a banker. >> Basically like, this is my job and if I don't win, I'm pissed you know, that's a night off of me, you know, it's not gonna go well, the rent situation or what not. >> Beer pong is dangerous to play, you know, if you're gonna play beer pong I suggest you get a designated driver. >> Yeah. I'm actually the driver and my partner is the big guy. He usually drinks and takes care of that aspect. >> He's the driver unfortunately. >> I get us to the tournaments. >> Well, it's just good, you know, I drink a lot and puts on a lot of weight which sucks but, you know, something I gotta do, you know, I gotta get drunk, he's gotta be the driver, you know. -[ unk ] >> Two beers shared by two people. [ unk ] one beer essentially in a 20- minute game. >> You also know that friendships have been made in this sport very quickly. >> No, actually actions is very good when I'm- when I'm hammered. >> If I'm very sober, I cannot hit the cup like I start thinking about things, you know, I'm consistent when I'm hammered. >> A lot of the college campuses, the kids are playing, you know, to get drunk and, you know, to have fun. Our aspect of this is like we're professionals. >> The banning on the college campuses really is not gonna affect anything because everybody is gonna drink regardless. >> I think banning would be a little strong. I could think maybe moderating it. >> Drinking games is gonna be anywhere you go. Have you sit down with cards and played card games drinking or darts drinking. It's the same thing, you know, what beer pong does is give us something a little competition. >> I wish beer pong gives you something to do without a conversation with everybody, you know, when I wanna talk to somebody, I'll just get up on the table and beat him on beer pong.
