Ten, nine, eight, seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. [ MUSIC ] I've had about eight different jobs over the course of my career. And I have about. Eight different 401k plans and 8 different financial institutions, and so in 2015 I'm going to consolidate them all in one nut so large 401k plan. My financial New Years resolution is to get a credit card this year. My New Years resolution is to spend less on other people. I know that doesn't seem like a very positive resolution but when I look at where I spend my money. My biggest spending is leak is spending money on presents for other people.

My financial New Year's resolution is to work on my plan B. Now don't get me wrong, I love my job. Hear that boss? I love my job. But you know you'd be a fool in this day and age when industries change and companies change and personal passions and situations change not to have a backup plan in mind. I wanna like get my get my 401 ( k ) straight. Get those contributions set that all up. My financial resolution. Is to look at my retirement account balance less frequently. I don't need to look at it every time the market goes up a few hundred points or down a few hundred points. I have a long- term asset allocation, I've set up my contribution rate, I just have to leave well enough alone.

It's a career goal. And that's not necessarily to get ahead or to fall behind. But to get control of my e- mail. Because e- mail runs me, rather than me running e- mail. I just generally like, looking at my benefits. See what that's about. My New Years resolution is to stop spending so much money on Seamless. And then to use that money [ LAUGH ] to beef up my emergency saving. Not being out as much. My financial new years resolution this year is to try out, try to finally get ahold of credit card debt. I seem like I go through the whole year, and I do a pretty good job, and there is that one card that always pops up at the end of the year, that's got a balance of 1, 500 to 2, 500 dollars.

Generally start, start saving money, emergency funds. Really a lot of things. This year I'm finally going to switch banks. This has been something I've been planning to do for years and years but it is a little investment of time. You have to make a few phone calls and a couple emails. But I'm gonna go from my big national bank to an online- only bank. Actually, one of the ones we recommended, Money recommended, in best banks. So I'm actually really excited about it.
