Why the Facebook phone? Because it's got a dedicated Facebook button. [ MUSIC ] 50 bucks, AT & T, let's take a look. The phone itself is actually very nicely built for a 50 dollar handset. It's kind of got a whole Blackberry thing going on. Great keyboard and. [ MUSIC ] The curb design makes it easy to type on. And it is running Android 2. 3, the latest version of Android. And there's that little Facebook button I was telling you about. So if you're not in a program, and you just hit the Facebook button, it'll allow you to directly post something on your wall. The feature extends into other programs as well. So if you're on a website, and you're reading an article, the button will blink letting you know that you're able to post that article directly to your Facebook wall. Likewise, any photos you take or video you capture can be directly uploaded to your Facebook profile. Like this night that I went to Cheers, yet nobody knew my name. If you're thinking of coming here to Boston to visit Cheers, and you envision it being like the TV show, it's not. There's like 4 stools. The bartender is very handsome like Sam Malone, but he's not nearly as nice. At least he wasn't to me. [ MUSIC ] So the phone works well for all things Facebook. It also works well for text messaging and email. But the 2 and half inch low resolution screen leaves a lot to be desired. Surfing the web isn't that fun at all. And most Android apps are programmed to run in portrait mode, which means you'll be holding the phone sideways. And again, the screen is so small that using apps is not that great. Especially if, like me, you're of Scandinavian descent and you have sasquatch thumbs. [ UNKNOWN ] my thumb literally covers a third of the screen. A third. One third. 33. 33 perfect of the screen. So if you like the idea of having one touch access to just about everything Facebook, you will like this phone. Provided you don't really care about surfing the web or watching videos or using apps. Or if you like the idea of this phone but you wanna be able to do other cool smartphone things maybe sit tight because HTC puts out a lot of cool phones. And maybe we'll see a more robust powerful one with a Facebook button on it in the future. It could happen.
