## Transcript

11 days before a financial D- day, a political family feud. The beef, should Republicans, led by Conservatives and tea party types, threaten a government shutdown to defund Obama Care? The House Speaker. Tomorrow we'll pass a plan to, to protect the American people from the President's healthcare law while keeping the, the rest of government up and running. The law's a train wreck. A Republican Senator. To stop it would to be totally reverse it. We don't have the votes to do that. A Republican Congressman. Nobody is talking about killing each other or doing those types of things. What we're talking about is not funding Obamacare.

Versus another. We can't let the government shutdown we can't be kamikazes. All say they don't want a shutdown and they're still fighting Democrats on the issue, but Democrats appear to have an unlikely ally. Karl Rove, usually an Obama critic, writes in the Wall Street Journal, that his party's Obamacare defunding strategy is noble, but will strengthen the President while alienating Independents. It is an ill- conceived tactic and Republicans should reject it. Even if Senate Republicans could muster the votes against the law, the President vows to veto any such bill. That's one battle. In another, Republicans could try to defund Obamacare when Congress faces off over the nation's $ 16 trillion debt limit in late October.
