>> The sick count aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise Ship continues to grow even as the cruise line tries to get everyone home early. Late Monday morning CNN reported the latest numbers from a Center for Disease Control spokeswoman at 577 passengers and 49 crew members ill, aboard the explore of the seas.

>> I was one of them.

>> It was awful.

>> It was a terrible experience. I've been on this boat before, we had an amazing time when we were here, this time it's just been awful.

>> Acknowledging it didn't give customers the tropical vacation they expected, Royal Caribbean released a statement Sunday after docking in the US Virgin Islands. " After consultation, we think the right thing to do is to bring our guests home early and use the extra time to sanitize the ship even more thoroughly ." The cruise line expects the ship back in its home port in New Jersey, Wednesday while the strain isn't confirmed yet. Media outlets continue to report symptoms as consistent with Norovirus. With so many people packed in a confined space, the CDC note ship- wide outbreaks aren't uncommon, unless Norovirus is the cause of virtually every illness outbreak on cruise ships going back several years.

This is the second health incident for the cruise line this year after about 60 people got sick aboarded different ship visiting the Bahamas. Interestingly the illness news didn't keep the company stocked down. Its shares rose three and a half percent Monday morning as Royal Caribbean released what Fox News called a rosy full year outlook because of strong bookings in Europe and Asia.
