In what's being referred to as the Netflix of books, Amazon has announced a subscription service for e- books and audiobooks. Introducing Kindle Unlimited, the freedom to explore over 600, 000. And titles. And thousands of audio books in the palm of your hand. For nine 99 a month. Kindle unlimited is just that. Unlimited access to hundreds of thousands of books. Amazon says the service is only available within the US for now but hopes to expand outside the country in the future. Now, let's go back to that 600, 000 number Amazon touts. Mashable points out, that number represents a fraction of the millions of ebooks available Amazon's digital library.

Like any all you can eat service, think Spotify, Netflix, iTunes Radio, it's quite a struggle getting content publishers to agree to unlimited terms, And while Amazon lovingly dubs the service unlimited, Mashable also reports subscribers will only be able to keep ten books at a time. Still reading and keeping track of more than 10 books at a time is incredibly impressive so we'd argue that number's not terribly unfair. Kindle Unlimited, also sports a pretty unlimited range of device support. You can read from Amazon's library using the Kindle Reading app. That's iPhone, iPad and the Samsung Galaxy Note to name a few.
