## Transcript

Welcome to the PageCast. It's Wednesday, September 3rd. I'm Mark Halperin in St. Paul with your three things to watch for in politics today. First, Sarah Palin's big speech at the National Convention here in St. Paul, watch to see how she is received certainly in the hall, she'll do a great job. Watch to see what the country thinks of her, what she talks about, how she comes across. Second, watch the continued questions about the picking of Sarah Palin. Lots of debate, all the elements you can read about on The Page throughout the day. The bottom line is, still more details coming out about just how carefully the McCain campaign looked at her background and then the debate over her qualifications, all that will continue to swirl today.

And then finally, watch to see the balance of this convention somewhat overshadowed by the Palin pick, but how will Republicans balance trying to define Barack Obama and defining John McCain-- Obama in a negative way, McCain in a positive way. The party made a start on that on Tuesday night but watch to see the balance there-- just what will they say about Barack Obama here in St. Paul. Those are your three things to watch for in politics today. You can get all the political news all the time right here on The Page. For now in St. Paul, I'm Mark Halperin. Thanks for watching the PageCast.
