## Transcript

I would hate to be a republican who's vote prevented us from keeping the commitment we've made to the American people for almost 10 years now. I'm optimistic that none of my members any wanna be responsible for the status quote of Obama Care. I think the American people be deeply disappointed that we were prevented from keeping our commitment. Republicans who in the end in effect voted for the status quo. Every President sends up a budget, and with all due respect to the current president I can't recall any time in which we have been sort of dictated to by either a Republican or a Democratic president.

We put our own Imprint on it, particularly with regard to overseas. I think he's got the natural instincts for the legislative process cuz he's a deal maker. You know, it's a way he operated in the private sector, always trying to figure out how to make things work, how to get to an outcome. And so I think he is Actually uniquely qualified to be or gifted in this area of trying to get an outcome and I think, my impression is he's been very helpful in the house and I expect to use him in the senate as well.
