[00:20] [ MUSIC ]
[00:40] Ladies and gentlemen. [ MUSIC ] This is the 2014
[00:45] Xbox global media briefing. Please welcome the head
[00:49] of Xbox, Phil Spencer. Good
[01:00] morning everyone and welcome to E3. It's an honor
[01:04] to be with you today. Let me start by welcoming the
[01:08] fans here with us in Los Angeles, and the millions of
[01:11] fans watching us around the world, on the web, on
[01:15] Xbox live, and on Spike TV. I'd also like to recognize
[01:20] the developers here with us today. Developers working
[01:23] to bring their creations to life, and deliver them to the
[01:27] world. This week we share a common
[01:31] purpose with our friends at Sony, Nintendo and the
[01:35] developers and publishers in our industry. That
[01:38] purpose is to showcase the passion, creativity and
[01:42] potential. Behind the fastest growing form of
[01:45] entertainment in the world, games.
[01:54] And we're here together at an incredible time in our
[01:56] industry, with the launch of two new consoles in the last
[02:00] year, this generation is off to the hottest start in
[02:03] history. This renewed interest in excitement benefits
[02:06] everyone, creators, publishers, console manufactures,
[02:10] and especially gamers. On behave of the entire
[02:15] Xbox team, I want to personally thank you, the millions
[02:19] of Xbox 1 owners around the world. We have been
[02:23] humbled and amazed by all your comments, ideas,
[02:26] tweets. But most importantly, your support. Your
[02:31] feedback showed in the console we launched in
[02:34] November, and in the monthly updates we have
[02:36] delivered since. You are shaping the future of
[02:41] Xbox. And we are better for it. Today,
[02:54] we're dedicating our entire briefing to games.
[03:02] Our goal is to make Xbox One the best place to play
[03:06] games this generation. First, I wanna show
[03:10] some of the great games coming to Xbox One in 2014.
[03:14] And later in the show, we'll announce some of the new
[03:17] games coming to Xbox in the future. The lineup is
[03:20] diverse, huge franchises, new IP, independent games,
[03:23] and maybe a few of my old favorites. Gamers
[03:29] are helping set the future direction of Xbox, and
[03:33] our friends at Activision and Sledge Hammer games
[03:36] are doing the exact same thing with the best selling
[03:39] franchise in Xbox history. From the first time I
[03:43] saw what Sledgehammer Games was working on, I was
[03:46] truly inspired. In every sense, this game raises the bar
[03:50] for the next generation. I'm proud to open our show
[03:54] with what I believe is the beginning of a new era for
[03:57] this franchise. And once again I have good news. Xbox
[04:01] owners will be the first to play all of the add- on
[04:06] content. Here's the first
[04:10] look at Call of Duty Advanced Warfare on Xbox One.
[04:14] Hey,
[04:26] see you on the other side. [ UNKNOWN ] I'm seeing
[04:29] heavy enemy fire at our drop path. Copy that
[04:33] Badger zero, one, adjusting path
[04:37] trajectory. Hold
[04:44] on!
[04:49] Mitchell,
[04:55] close
[05:01] the blast shield! Come on Mitchell,
[05:25] now! Mitchell, now! [ NOISE ]
[05:29] Aah! Resetting drop points. [ NOISE ]. [ NOISE ] Brace
[05:30] yourself. [ COUGH ] You still in one piece? Mitchell. Get
[05:31] the door. Get out. Okay. We need to get our feet on
[05:31] the ground and meet up with demo team one. Yes sir!
[05:31] Contact. Contact. Light em up. [ NOISE ] Got
[05:42] a sheer
[06:39] drop on this side. There's a clear spot over here. We'll
[06:41] have to jump down. Everyone get your boosters ready.
[06:43] Remember, short bursts to control your fall. [ NOISE ]
[06:43] Everyone up? I think so. [ INAUDIBLE ] up ahead
[06:43] [ NOISE ]. [ INAUDIBLE ]. [ INAUDIBLE ] Vital conditions
[06:43] space man ten, I copy. [ NOISE ] Who the hell are you
[06:44] guys? Badger Squad, two 27 providing support for
[06:44] double team one, and we're already on the move.
[06:44] Thought you guys were fragged! What's your position?
[06:44] Two clicks northwest [ UNKNOWN ].
[06:46] 775. All
[07:00] right! We're
[07:57] moving! Roger. Zero one. Be advised. We are tracking
[08:01] a drone
[08:03] swarm
[08:06] heading
[08:08] your
[08:10] way.
[08:12] Copy
[08:14] that.
[08:16] Everyone
[08:19] keep
[08:21] your
[08:23] eyes
[08:25] open!
[08:27] [ NOISE ]
[08:29] Watch
[08:32] your
[08:34] head!
[08:36] [ UNKNOWN ]
[08:38] [ INAUDIBLE ]
[08:40] Everyone
[08:42] get
[08:44] down.
[08:47] Move
[08:49] [ INAUDIBLE ]
[08:51] [ NOISE ].
[08:53] That launcher
[09:26] is heavily armoured. You're going to have to find an
[09:29] access panel and plant the chargers inside it.
[09:29] [ NOISE ]. [ INAUDIBLE ]. [ NOISE ]. Reloading. Contact
[09:30] 6: 00. Mitchell,
[10:51] over here. Give me a charge. Okay, time to Damn, I
[10:51] think my arm's broke. Don't worry about that timer.
[10:51] One more, pull. Lift it off. We gotta
[11:01] go, now. Mitchell, we're
[11:10] out of time. You gotta
[11:22] jump, now.
[11:37] It's
[11:52] okay, I'll see
[11:57] you on the
[12:07] other side. Mitchell. Mitchell. [ INAUDIBLE ] two is
[12:07] down. I need immediate medevac. Hold on. Stay with
[12:07] me. You're gonna be all right. We're
[12:10] gonna
[12:12] get
[12:15] you home. [ NOISE ] [ MUSIC ] Ladies

[13:07] Greenawalt. At

[13:57] and Long Beach for our fans. And for you, may
[14:02] I present the most iconic sports car track in the world.
[14:07] The nurborgring. Jackie

[20:35] Revolution. As assassin Arnold Victor Dorian, you will
[20:39] explore our biggest playground ever, which we have
[20:42] filled with hundreds of quests, activities and rewards.
[20:46] But that's not all. ACU also marks the first time

[21:07] Please! Taxing is stealing! [ MUSIC ] It is time for the

[21:08] [ CROSSTALK ] We have the power citizens.
[21:08] [ CROSSTALK ]. [ NOISE ]. [ NOISE ] Hey, get up,
[22:11] [ NOISE ] Take
[23:01] care of this or I will use your head as a pistol. You,

[23:06] Aye, aye captain. First one that brings me a head gets
[23:10] 50 soon. You heard me? Did you try
[23:14] the gates? [ MUSIC ] Mm. Aah!
[23:18] [ NOISE ]. Move. Get the horses.
[23:23] [ UNKNOWN ] What's the matter? No.
[23:27] [ MUSIC ] Thank you all. For
[23:31] coming despite the poor sports outside.
[24:17] Our illustrious host, the Marquis, wishes to assure
[24:22] you that the rabble outside can cause us no harm.
[24:23] [ NOISE ]. Aah! [ INAUDIBLE ]. Cowards, get back here,
[25:06] we can work together, spare me, please, they're only

[25:58] Thank You. [ MUSIC ] The
[26:05] very first game that I played was Missile Command in
[26:08] the Arcade. And I was completely blown away by it.
[26:09] Space Invaders. I remember the early Scott Adams
[26:09] adventure games on my TI- 99 4a. It
[26:17] was mind- blowing to see that somebody could control
[26:19] what was going on a screen. My dad brought home a
[26:22] Sears Pong Station for our television, with the little twist
[26:25] controller and a button. I don't know what year it was,
[26:28] but it was Pizza Hut, and it was Space Invaders, and I
[26:32] got hooked. [ MUSIC ] Let those who will destroy
[26:45] us, step in to the light. [ MUSIC ] The world is tearing
[26:46] itself apart. [ MUSIC ] Chaos has left its mark upon me.
[26:51] [ MUSIC ] I am hunted for
[26:55] the power I wield. [ MUSIC ]
[27:00] You will break. I will
[27:09] die first. [ music ] [ gunfire ]
[27:21] [ door busted
[28:27] open ] [ music ] Tell
[29:23] the mechanic, right? [ Gunfire ]
[29:27] [ Music ]
[29:31] [ Metal
[29:34] scrapping ]
[29:38] [ Roar ]
[29:41] [ People
[29:45] screaming ].
[29:48] [ MUSIC ]
[29:51] You
[29:55] and
[29:58] your
[30:02] crate, are safe now. Oh, hey
[30:10] welcome to spectacular Sunset City. Okay, here's
[30:17] the situation. A contaminated energy drink has turned
[30:20] everyone into mutants. There
[30:25] are survivors, doing whatever they can to get by. But
[30:28] some of them are dicks, attacking others for their stuff.
[30:31] Oops, ignore that
[30:35] one. [ NOISE ] Well
[30:40] it's not all bad. All this place needs is a hero, one who
[30:43] doesn't just survive, but does it in style.
[30:50] Who is this hero? Me, not, not me. Oh, you. Can you
[30:54] survive the many dangers? Can you help others
[30:57] survive? Can you save Sunset City? Can you? For the
[30:57] love of God can
[31:02] you? Of
[31:10] course you can. It's a [ BLEEP ] video game! [ MUSIC ]
[31:17] Ladies
[31:21] and
[31:25] gentlemen,
[31:29] from Insomniac games Ted Price. [ MUSIC ] [ NOISE ] In
[31:40] Sunset Overdrive, you, yes, you, are the
[31:44] hero. Customize your character. Be who you wanna be.
[31:48] Traverse the open world with speed, strategy and style
[31:52] using an arsenal of unconventional weapons. And
[31:54] special abilities to save Sunset City. Now, in this demo,
[31:58] 2 of the games factions have overrun the local
[32:01] amusement park and our mission is to fight our way to
[32:04] the roller coaster on the far side. Let's go. I
[32:11] used
[32:16] to
[32:20] think
[32:25] this
[32:30] town
[32:34] was
[32:39] boring.
[32:43] Yes.
[32:48] That's
[32:53] right.
[32:57] Yeah.
[33:02] Let's

[37:53] [ MUSIC ] Thanks
[38:06] and good morning. For the last 2 years the team at
[38:09] Lion Head has been building a new kind of role playing
[38:12] experience. Fable Legends is a bold an innovative
[38:16] adventure and I'm proud to share it with you here
[38:18] today. [ MUSIC ]
[38:23] Welcome to a place of magic, fairy tale and myth.
[38:28] This is where we can discover the stories and
[38:31] characters of Albion. This is Brightlodge, the social
[38:34] heart of Fable Legends, and your home in the game.
[38:39] Say hello to Sterling, he's a classic fable character.
[38:42] Enter
[38:44] hero, brave, noble, capable of self- narration.
[38:47] [ NOISE ]. In this growing town, you and your friends
[38:51] find and begin your quest. You'll also encounter many
[38:54] of the heroes you'll team up with, here are just a few
[38:57] of
[39:00] them. Winter, a hero of will. Somewhere out there is
[39:05] treasure, adventure. And a world of things better than
[39:09] standing right here. Look, a hero of skill.
[39:16] Mm. Alright fancy pants. And Inga, a hero of strength.
[39:20] Well don't hang about polishing your codgekins, we've
[39:23] got questing to do. Right. Let's see what's out there.
[39:32] In this chapter Fable Legend Story the heroes enter an
[39:35] old and overgrown ruin in order to recover an ancient
[39:39] artifact. While humanity and its champions venture into
[39:43] untamed lands and primeval forests, the natural world
[39:47] prepares to strike back. Magical beast monsters and
[39:51] even nastier creatures are marching their forces to
[39:54] defeat those who dare trespass into their realm. We
[39:57] get in we get out. Quick and smooth. Family motto and
[40:01] lifestyle choice old chap. Shut up [ INAUDIBLE ]
[40:02] [ MUSIC ] Stay behind me.
[40:08] Huh! Huh! All
[40:15] right boys and girls, this is where it gets serious.
[40:17] [ NOISE ]. This
[40:22] quest shall lead me to honour, glory and huh.
[40:26] [ MUSIC ] Treasure. I'll be taking
[40:31] this. Silas Over here. [ NOISE ] Huh! Would you like ice
[40:34] with that? [ LAUGH ] If only there had
[40:41] been more of them. Hark! [ NOISE ] Scratch
[40:49] wood and scratch a word we got away with that one.
[40:53] Our vision is for more than just a cooperative fable. We
[40:56] want to create an experience you need a multi- player
[40:59] gaming. Something innovative, and something
[41:01] dramatic, we needed a new challenge for you our
[41:04] players. In Fable Legends, you can be the villain. The
[41:10] villain player in Fable Legends brings a whole new
[41:12] perspective to the game. Controlling the world from
[41:15] above like a malevolent god. Every creature, every
[41:19] trap and every spell you've seen so far, every
[41:22] challenge our heroes are about to face, the villain
[41:25] orchestrates it all. Let's
[41:29] go. If you're the villain, it's your job to do the worst.
[41:32] You decide how, where, and who to target with your
[41:35] many evil powers and tricks.
[41:45] [ MUSIC ]
[41:54] How does our story end? The outcome of each of your
[41:57] adventures depends on what's stronger. Is it the
[42:00] bravery and teamwork of the four heroes, or the skill
[42:03] and dastardly cunning of the villains? Stand ready now!
[42:04] You want me? You got me! [ Music ] We're almost
[42:16] there. Stick with it. [ Music ] You hear that? I can't hear
[42:18] nothing over you Rob Roy, you stupid noggin. How did
[42:27] we not smell that coming? Watch yourselves, Ogre.
[42:27] [ NOISE ]. Get back, get back. I
[42:38] think I chose the wrong underwear for this one.
[42:38] [ NOISE ] The bigger the the easier the target. [ NOISE ]
[42:38] Now I've got ya. Tally ho. All of
[42:47] their [ UNKNOWN ].
[42:57] Oh crap. On
[43:21] behalf of the team at Lionhead, it's been my pleasure
[43:24] to share this first look into Fable Legends. Our
[43:26] multiplayer beta will begin this fall. To sign up and
[43:29] learn more visit fablelegends. com. Join us in our
[43:33] magical world and play as a part of a team of heroes,
[43:36] or mastermind the game, as the evil villain. The choice
[43:39] is yours. [ NOISE ]
[43:43] If I could mesh any two games, I just feel like all of 'em
[43:46] Yeah, just put 'em all in one. [ LAUGH ]. I just want,
[43:48] like, Grand Theft Auto, but I could be a Ninja Turtle
[43:51] and Batman. Yeah. Together. Yeah. Ninja Turtles and
[43:53] Batman. Actually, no. Why is? That's what I want. Just
[43:56] Ninja Turtles and Batman? [ LAUGH ] Yeah. Yeah. The
[43:59] arcade Ninja Turtles. We're coming April. [ LAUGH ]
[44:02] Like, they look Yeah. Like that. Yeah. But in the style of
[44:06] arc in the series of Batman. Yeah, that's what I want.
[44:09] [ MUSIC ]
[44:34] Really? Where's the rest a your gang? Oh, I almost
[44:37] forgot the best part. [ MUSIC ] Checked
[44:49] this out last night. Okay, not bad. But
[44:54] wait till you see my, game. Welcome to
[44:59] Desert of Death! I
[45:03] see desert, but I don't see any? [ MUSIC ]
[45:10] Right. [ MUSIC ]
[45:35] [ MUSIC ] That was awesome. So, what should our next
[45:39] game be? Steve's building some new next. Nice. How
[45:43] about Zombie Mix? Yes, Zombie Mix from space. Done,
[45:45] game on. [ MUSIC ]
[46:25] I couldn't resist. [ MUSIC ] Wow. Almost
[46:35] ten years without a new game. Guess we'll have to
[46:37] make our own.
[46:43] [ NOISE ]
[46:48] [ MUSIC ]
[46:53] [ MUSIC ]
[46:58] [ MUSIC ]
[47:03] [ MUSIC ]
[47:08] If I were
[48:52] to go hang out with somebody from a video game I'd
[48:54] probably choose Duke Nukem, and the old Duke could
[48:57] like the original Duke. I hang out with Marcus, the first
[49:00] character you play in State of Decay, because he's just
[49:03] an every- man, he's just a dude. The main character
[49:04] in limbo. The Ogre in Titanfall. The guy's walking down
[49:08] Manhattan with his little buddy, I, I'd do that down the
[49:11] streets of Seattle. That would be pretty cool. That
[49:12] would be pretty cool. He's Master Chief. He's just one
[49:14] of the best characters, best designed characters.
[49:16] Great background, great story, everything about him is
[49:17] just awesome. [ MUSIC ] To find him, you have to
[49:18] forget the stories. [ MUSIC ] [ NOISE ] Forget the
[49:23] legends. [ NOISE ]
[49:58] You have to do more, than walk
[50:11] in his
[50:19] footsteps. [ NOISE ] For
[50:43] he is more, than the sum of his actions. I tell you
[50:51] this, not because I trust you, Agent [ INAUDIBLE ]
[50:55] [ NOISE ] but because all our lives are at stake.
[50:59] [ NOISE ] [ MUSIC ] Because the seeds of our future,
[51:05] are sowed in his past.
[51:14] Ladies and gentlemen, from 343 Industries, Bonnie
[51:18] Ross. [ MUSIC ] At
[51:26] the end of Halo four Master Chief was mourning the
[51:29] loss of his closest companion. He was questioning
[51:32] everything, his role, his purpose, and who and what he
[51:36] was fighting for? Now Master Chief begins a deeply
[51:40] personal journey, questioning authority and searching
[51:43] for the truth. And as we just revealed there's also
[51:47] someone else looking for answers, searching for him.
[51:51] This is about Master Chief's Journey, his past, and
[51:55] his future. At 343 when we think about the Halo
[51:58] Universe. We think of it as a real place, inhabited by
[52:02] real characters, and populated with a real, almost
[52:05] tangible, history, and so bringing that history to life on
[52:08] Xbox One isn't just about making a game. It's about
[52:12] embracing our traditions, and our roots, and
[52:14] everything that we are passionate about with Halo. It's
[52:17] about retelling Chief's entire legendary tale, precisely
[52:21] the way you remembered it. And then also from a new
[52:24] perspective as we lead up to the launch of Halo five,
[52:26] Guardians next year. And so, on November 11th,
[52:31] 2014 for the first time ever you can play
[52:35] the entire Master Chief saga on a single console. The
[52:39] Xbox One with Halo, The Master Chief Collection.
[52:42] [ LAUGH ] I love you
[52:49] too. The Master Chief Collection is massive, it included
[52:54] the games Halo, Combat evolved, Halo two, Halo three
[52:57] and Halo four. But it's not just a celebration of our
[53:01] past, it's also about laying the foundation for our
[53:03] future. Everything your about to see today is included
[53:07] in The Master Chief Collection. I'd like to welcome Dan
[53:11] Ayoub 343's executive producer of the Master Chief
[53:13] Collection. [ MUSIC ]
[53:19] Thanks
[53:24] Bonnie. When we started working on the Master Chief
[53:27] collection, we knew we had an opportunity to do
[53:30] something special. To not only rekindle our fans
[53:33] memories, but to also introduce a new generation of
[53:36] fans to the Halo Universe. The collection features,
[53:40] features a single unified interface to give you all four
[53:43] games with everything unlocked, on one disc, in
[53:47] a single seamless interface. So you can play the Chief's
[53:50] journey however you want. Now unlocking everything at
[53:54] the offset also let's us do something else. We're going
[53:57] to create Custom Playlists, taking great moments from
[54:00] all four games and combining them together. Yeah, it's
[54:04] pretty cool. [ LAUGH ] Now, as
[54:08] many of you know, November marks the ten year
[54:10] anniversary of Halo two. And I am excited to tell you
[54:14] that Halo two is getting the full anniversary treatment.
[54:17] We've retouched. We've retouched
[54:21] every part of the game, and of course you can switch
[54:24] from new to classic at the touch of a button. Now, Halo
[54:28] two's multi- player was special for a lot of reasons and
[54:32] we wanted to keep that intact. So Halo two anniversary
[54:35] will contain the original Halo two multi- player. Exactly
[54:39] as it shipped ten years ago. In
[54:45] addition, we selected six iconic Halo two maps to
[54:49] recreate with the power of the Xbox One. I'd like to
[54:52] show you guys some game play on Ascension with the
[54:54] help of our pro players today. Okay guys, everyone
[54:57] ready? Alright, okay let's go.
[55:04] So, we're gonna be showing you game play from Ghost
[55:06] VoV because he's a lot better than
[55:10] I am. Yes, we are playing Spartans versus
[55:14] Elite, and night, and he's crouching on me. Ok, thank
[55:20] you. You also saw there a dual wheeled. Another big
[55:23] mainstay, of Halo two game play. And as I said, we are
[55:27] playing Spartans verses Elites. This is actually one of
[55:30] my favorite maps. You've got some great sight lines.
[55:32] You can really see the vistas popping here as well.
[55:34] Okay, there we go There we go.
[55:39] Go. Nice.
[55:53] Okay go. Get the banshee. yeah, here we go. We got
[55:54] him. We got him. Oh, you scary got you [ LAUGH ] there
[55:57] you have
[56:08] it. That's
[56:13] just a sneak peek of what's coming your way in
[56:15] November 11th. The master chief collection has over
[56:19] 100 multiplayer maps. That is every map ever
[56:23] released on Halo One through four all running on
[56:27] their original engines, all running at 1080p 60 frames
[56:30] per second on dedicated servers. [ NOISE ] And
[56:38] finally, because achievements are awesome, The
[56:41] Master Chief Collection will ship with 4, 000 games
[56:43] score. [ NOISE ] That's
[56:51] a huge amount of game play, but in addition to great
[56:53] game play we wanted to lay the foundation for the
[56:56] future. So included in the Master Chief Collection is
[57:00] Halo Nightfall, our live action digital series; created
[57:04] in collaboration with Executive producer Ridley Scott
[57:07] and Director Sergio Mimica- Gezzan. The series
[57:10] introduces the pivotal new character and a story leads
[57:14] right up to Halo five Guardian. And as you can see,
[57:17] Halo Nightfall is currently in production, and we're
[57:20] thrilled to have this opportunity to work with such an
[57:22] amazingly talented team. And last but not
[57:26] least, the final piece of The Master Chief Collection.
[57:30] This December we bring you the Halo five Guardians
[57:32] beta. [ NOISE ]
[57:39] It's a celebration of our arena multi- player legacy, and
[57:42] the beta will debut new game modes and features. So
[57:45] here's just a small taste, of what you're going to
[57:48] experience this holiday, enjoy. [ NOISE ] Hey, let's
[57:50] move. [ NOISE ].
[58:38] [ MUSIC ] Please, welcome back Phil Spencer. The Halo
[58:46] franchise is the reason Xbox is here today. Halo
[58:50] launched the original Xbox, Halo launched Xbox live
[58:53] and Halo was a cornerstone on Xbox 360. Now the
[58:57] Master Chief Collection will allow Gamers to experience
[59:01] the entire Master Chief story only on Xbox One. You'll
[59:07] be able to play everything you've just seen on Xbox
[59:10] One, this holiday. [ NOISE ].
[59:18] These games represent just a handful of the many
[59:21] games you will see this year. In addition to our holiday
[59:25] lineup we are also investing in new IP, familiar
[59:28] franchises, and continued investment in Xbox live. I'm
[59:33] excited to share a selection of our games from our
[59:36] 2015 portfolio and beyond. I believe these
[59:40] games highlight the breadth, depth, and diversity of
[59:43] our gaming portfolio. Let's start with
[59:48] the game from an incredible studio. Their first game,
[59:52] was one of my favourite games of all time. It debuted
[59:56] on Xbox 360, and went on to win game of the year
[1:00:00] honours. This is a first look, at what they have been
[1:00:02] working on for the last four years. And it will debut on
[1:00:06] Xbox in early 2015.
[1:01:33] [ NOISE ] [ MUSIC ]
[1:01:37] Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the Director of
[1:01:41] ID @ Xbox, Chris Charla. Hey
[1:01:45] everybody. ID @ Xbox is a program we have built to
[1:01:49] help independent developers to realize their creative
[1:01:51] visions and bring great games to Xbox1. Independent
[1:01:55] developers like CAPY, Iron Galaxy and Team Color
[1:01:58] Blind build some of the most unique and diverse
[1:02:00] games like experience anywhere. Through the
[1:02:04] ID @ Xbox program, we're supporting their creativity
[1:02:06] by providing developers with free development kits,
[1:02:10] free middle ware options and ongoing support that
[1:02:12] enables developers to self- publish on Xbox one. They
[1:02:16] get to use the full power and unique features of Xbox,
[1:02:19] from Live to Kinect, Smartglass, our impulse triggers
[1:02:23] and of course, our support for eight controllers on one
[1:02:26] Xbox. We're thrilled to have so many amazing
[1:02:30] creators working on incredible new games, many of
[1:02:33] which are gonna ship first for console on XBox One.
[1:02:36] Games that feature innovative multiplayer, like Lovers
[1:02:38] In a Dangerous Spacetime by Asteroid Base. Totally
[1:02:42] new takes on social play, like # idarb from other
[1:02:45] Oceans. Or that are just rad games, like Plague Inc.
[1:02:48] Evolved from Endemic Creations, Cup Head from
[1:02:52] Studio MDHR, and Massive Chalice from Double Fine.
[1:02:56] Let's take a look at just a fraction of the hundreds of
[1:02:58] exciting new games from independent developers that
[1:03:01] are coming soon to Xbox One. [ MUSIC ] I'm
[1:03:05] hitting the road
[1:03:09] with no suitcase,
[1:03:13] no shelter from
[1:03:18] the heat of
[1:03:22] the sun. Nobody
[1:03:26] knows where I'm
[1:03:30] going, nobody knows
[1:03:35] where I'm from.
[1:03:39] See you walking
[1:03:43] down a long
[1:03:47] haul distance, kicking
[1:03:52] rocks on the
[1:03:56] side of the
[1:04:00] road. You better
[1:04:04] hurt cause I
[1:04:09] can't stay awake,
[1:04:13] better hurt cause
[1:04:17] I'm ready to
[1:04:21] go. You say
[1:04:25] hit the gas
[1:04:30] and don't look
[1:04:34] back now. I
[1:04:38] think you might
[1:04:42] have trouble, I
[1:04:47] think your my
[1:04:51] kind of fun.
[1:04:55] I think. [ MUSIC ]
[1:04:59] [ MUSIC ] [ NOISE ] My favourite game of all time is the
[1:05:04] NBA 2K Series. Will never know how to dunk in real life,
[1:05:07] but as. Lebron James I can do it and I've been doing it
[1:05:10] for fifteen years. [ LAUGH ]. Kameel Nadjiani I've been
[1:05:13] dunking for fifteen years. Yeah. My favourite game of
[1:05:16] all time would be operation flashpoint. It sort of like
[1:05:19] was less of like a call of duty tch- tch- tch like first
[1:05:21] person shooter crazy and more or like a, like a military
[1:05:23] simulator. I'm a big simulator guy, lots of like flight
[1:05:26] simulators. IL2- Sturmovic. What a game. The crowd is
[1:05:30] going nuts right now. Yeah. At the Garland center.
[1:05:32] [ LAUGH ] When you're ready, open
[1:05:37] your eyes. I
[1:05:41] think we're making progress in these sessions. You
[1:05:45] say the flashbacks have stopped, Says excellent
[1:05:50] improvement. But, I'm concerned that you're still
[1:05:52] shutting yourself away at
[1:05:55] home.
[1:05:57] It's important to eventually take steps into the outside
[1:06:01] world. [ NOISE ] Take some walks [ MUSIC ] Maybe pick
[1:06:01] up a nice
[1:06:08] hobby. Girl your age, should
[1:06:14] be exploring new horizons. I'd
[1:06:19] like to know you're taking care of yourself. For many
[1:06:23] people, these traumas become a mental trap.
[1:06:24] [ MUSIC ] They get stuck like a
[1:06:30] ship frozen in
[1:06:35] ice.
[1:06:40] There's another type of person. [ MUSIC ] You know
[1:06:45] what happens to them? Miss
[1:06:50] Croft?
[1:06:53] We become who we're meant to be. [ MUSIC ]
[1:07:03] [ NOISE ]
[1:07:10] Ladies and gentlemen, from CD Project Red. Executive
[1:07:14] producer John Mamais. And Konrad Tomaszkiewicz.
[1:07:16] Hello, Konrad and I
[1:07:20] are totally thrilled to be able to premier some new
[1:07:23] game play of the Witcher III Wild Hunt. Let's get right
[1:07:26] into it. So
[1:07:41] witches are trained from birth to find and kill monsters
[1:07:44] for reward. Here we're about ten hours into the game,
[1:07:47] on a griffin hunt. A griffin is nearby, so we prep for a
[1:07:51] possible encounter. Probably to adjust it's grip on it's
[1:07:53] prey. [ MUSIC ] Items needed for combat in this
[1:07:56] instance, a set of buffing potions, and a small
[1:08:11] crossbow. As mutants witcher possess higher senses
[1:08:14] that can be used on command. To among other things,
[1:08:16] track prey. We can better perceive visual and sound
[1:08:19] clues in this state. Hasn't
[1:08:25] caught my scent yet, it's a sitting duck. [ NOISE ] Damn.
[1:08:26] So the
[1:08:31] bolts we fired will leave a trail of blood behind to help
[1:08:35] us track it. [ MUSIC ] The sequence is set in a vast area
[1:08:39] known as no man land. You can traverse any viewable
[1:08:42] location in the world, all the way to the mountain peaks
[1:08:46] in the distance and beyond. So,
[1:08:53] we're loosing him now, so we need to pick up his
[1:08:54] tracks again. [ NOISE ]. [ INAUDIBLE ].
[1:08:59] Don't let him
[1:09:04] touch his staff.
[1:09:10] [ INAUDIBLE ] Nice. You
[1:09:52] can come out. Damn
[1:09:56] it,
[1:09:59] he only came for a brew to break a fever. What are
[1:10:03] you doing here? Tracking
[1:10:09] a griffin. Trail took me through here. Seems I had a
[1:10:12] stroke of luck, then. Thank you. Look like deserters.
[1:10:16] Could be more bands in the area. I'll come back once
[1:10:19] I'm done with the griffin, just in case. Fine.
[1:10:24] Happy hunting. [ NOISE ]
[1:10:34] Monster earning quests can often intersect in the open
[1:10:38] world with points of interest. So by dispatching those
[1:10:39] bandits, we can now return to the herbalists later in
[1:10:42] the game. But for now we'll continue on the
[1:10:58] hunt.
[1:11:12] [ MUSIC ]
[1:11:27] [ NOISE ]
[1:11:41] [ NOISE ].
[1:11:55] [ MUSIC ]
[1:12:10] This
[1:12:24] was just a very small part of the epic RPG that is
[1:12:27] Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. [ MUSIC ] Thanks for watch,
[1:12:31] thanks for [ INAUDIBLE ] team back in Warsaw for their
[1:12:33] tremendous effort. Ladies and gentlemen, please
[1:12:37] welcome creative director Ken Lobb. I
[1:12:43] love E3, I've been making games for about 26 years.
[1:12:48] Over 12 here at Xbox. So, I've been to a lot of shows.
[1:12:52] Basically every show they let me go to since early
[1:12:54] 1989. I like to spend much of my time as possible
[1:12:58] helping teams make their games great. Last year we
[1:13:01] announced Killer Instinct, one of the games I worked
[1:13:04] on in my past. I was thrilled with the response of the
[1:13:07] show. Of course at launch and I'm looking forward to
[1:13:10] playing people this week at TJ Combo. The idea of
[1:13:13] rebooting old, beloved old games is something that I
[1:13:16] have a lot of passion for. So, we're doing it again.
[1:13:20] There's another game that I've always wanted to bring
[1:13:22] back from the original Xbox. Some would call it a cult
[1:13:25] classic. What I think, honestly, design.
[1:13:31] Great design is what we should be looking for when
[1:13:33] deciding what games we should build. So, I'm
[1:13:36] honoured to be up here on the stage today to
[1:13:38] announce. Well, let's just watch the trailer. [ MUSIC ]
[1:14:44] [ NOISE ] How
[1:15:16] many hours have you played video games in your
[1:15:19] entire life? In total? Yeah At least 30 minutes a day,
[1:15:23] on average. 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, 30
[1:15:26] years of playing games. I think it would probably be
[1:15:29] over two man years of gaming. 36, 000 research
[1:15:34] hours. Like 60 thousand hours. About 15 thousand
[1:15:37] hours over my life. Not bad. Massive hours. Tens of
[1:15:40] thousands. You're going for the high score. Yeah, I'm
[1:15:43] going big. Ladies and gentlemen, game director from
[1:15:47] Massive, Ryan Barnard. Alright. Hello
[1:15:54] everyone. It's great to be back here at E3, this year
[1:15:58] with Microsoft and Xbox. So, last year we gave you a
[1:16:02] glimpse of a New York City on the brink of collapse.
[1:16:08] Paralyzed by a, a devastating and deadly virus, which
[1:16:12] was released on Black Friday. And this year we wanna
[1:16:15] take you even deeper into our world. So, let's join a
[1:16:19] group of Division agents as we navigate through a
[1:16:21] dangerous part of the city on our way to establishing a
[1:16:24] critical foothold in an area which has been overrun by
[1:16:28] hostile factions. [ MUSIC ] Okay I
[1:16:33] know where we are. I'm setting the wave point
[1:16:38] to the base. Check
[1:16:43] your map. Miller,
[1:17:02] I think we found the hijacked one. [ UNKNOWN ] Can
[1:17:05] you hear me? [ UNKNOWN ] subway tunnels. Looks like
[1:17:09] it's pretty close.
[1:17:13] All right, follow
[1:17:20] me, it's this way. Looks clear. I'm getting a
[1:17:31] reading over
[1:17:39] here. This must have
[1:17:47] been the last train out. Looks like
[1:17:52] everybody panicked. Okay, where's Bronson? I'll send
[1:18:04] him another invite. This must
[1:18:08] be where they were talking about. Watch
[1:18:15] your step.
[1:18:24] There you are. Hey guys. Have brought Chris. Hey,
[1:18:27] Chris. Hey. Scoping out the area up ahead. Okay.
[1:18:30] We're about to unlock my base. It's up here on the
[1:18:33] right. Heads up. Everyone of you [ INAUDIBLE ] and I
[1:18:33] mean right **** now. [ INAUDIBLE ] All right. So,
[1:18:39] do
[1:18:45] we got
[1:18:50] here? Police by the base and behind the truck. I'm
[1:18:53] [ UNKNOWN ] right now. Okay. Let's take these guys
[1:18:56] out first as quietly as. Alright, I have Tesla in pulse up.
[1:18:56] Alright, Ryan, let's change up our skills. Yeah,
[1:18:56] whatever, I'll pull agro from the left here. You guys
[1:18:56] good to go? All good. Yeah, ready. Alright, here we go.
[1:18:59] [ NOISE ]. Find him. The last guy. Get the last guy.
[1:19:02] Don't let him get away. I can't. He's getting away. He's
[1:19:04] gone, he's gone. We've got incoming. Alright let's go.
[1:19:04] Okay. Coming from the right. Find cover. Find Cover.
[1:19:04] Watch out, watch out, watch out. Holy crap. There they
[1:19:04] are. There's loads of them. I can't get a shot. Trying to
[1:19:04] hit them on the right. I can't. I'm gonna
[1:19:08] switch my weapon. Okay, I got you, I got you.
[1:19:13] I'm moving up, I'm moving up. Okay. Greg, can you
[1:19:59] mark some of these guys? I've got trouble. I can't
[1:20:01] move, I'm pinned. Gotta hit him Chris, it's all you dude.
[1:20:02] Yeah, I'm on it. Light him up. Oh god, look out. Let's
[1:20:02] go, let's go, let's go. Get down. I'm
[1:20:10] pushing forward, I'm pushing foward. Brosnan, wait.
[1:20:12] I'm down. Hold on. Let's go behind me, let's go. Oh,
[1:20:15] there's a guy right behind me. Alright you're fine. Get
[1:20:15] up. Okay. Last two. Hit them, hit them, hit them.
[1:20:15] Current down. [ CROSSTALK ] Get this guy on the
[1:20:22] left. Good, okay,
[1:20:34] go go, we've got to move up forward. Last one, keep
[1:20:35] the pressure on. Want a piece of this? Wo wo wo. Wait
[1:20:35] for me to reload. [ CROSSTALK ]. You've been a bad
[1:20:35] little boy. Somebody do something.
[1:20:51] I'm gonna make you pay. [ CROSSTALK ]. Come on.
[1:20:51] Yeah. That is the last one. [ LAUGH ]. Good game guys.
[1:20:54] Okay. That was good. Welcome guys. So this is the
[1:20:54] base of operations. Home sweet home right? Yeah,
