For Stephen Colbert's first outing as host of the Late Show he is sticking, at least in part, to what he does best: Politics. The former Colbert Report host announced that Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush will stop by for his first show. And apparently he is hoping for more GOP candidates. He tweeted Luckily I do 200 shows a year, so I think I can fit them all in. however, it looks like the flamboyant, satirical character, we are familiar with from the Colbert report, is completely gone. On CBS's press tour, Colbert said, dropping his alter ego allows him to focus on his guests. Of course, The jokes.

He told reporters, not having to run everything I said through my character's bible in my head has been amazing. One of things Colbert also talked about was trying to bring a wide variety of voices onto his show. And with the GOP candidate, George Clooney, and rapper Kendrick Lamar all slated for the first episode. And it looks like he's doing that so far. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert premieres September 8th.
