Known for high- energy shows that pack tens of thousands into concert venues, Avicii's concert in Boston Wednesday night ended with several young people in the hospital. Boston EMS's Deputy Superintendent told reporters paramedics took 36 to the hospital and treated 50 others at the TD Bank Arena during the concert. Many concertgoers said the people needing help weren't sober. There was also a lot of people inside. We saw a couple like on the ground, over to the side, in the arena. There was one kid he took four cops to get him down. He was on something. I have no idea but, he was just, trying to fight back.

No one died Wednesday but a lot of people needed medical attention at another recent Avicii concert. Ambulances took 29 people to the hospital last month in Toronto. The Toronto Star reports Rogers Center had a medic team on hand but the need overwhelmed the paramedics and they called the EMS for support. Please welcome Avicii! [ NOISE ]. Avicii began drawing huge crowds internationally well before Grammy nominations and other awards for the Swedish DJ in the American mainstream. His concerts are elaborately produced and some Boston concertgoers told reporters they're a place young people who wouldn't normally do drugs experiment not knowing what they can handle.

An 18 year old woman who left the concert early said, you get really hot in there and you just pass out. You couldn't breathe. It was claustrophobic. People get dehydrated. Avicii, whose real name is Tim Bergling, tweeted early Thursday morning, just hearing the awful news about tonight. It's a terrible thing, I really hope everyone is okay. My thoughts go to those affected and their families. Boston Police said they told concert organizers not to play any extra sets because of the medical emergency. None of the 86 people treated suffered critical injuries. Thanks for watching, I'm Bryce Sander.
