And we're finding microplastics out in the water. And, uh, you know, trash everywhere. So it's unsightly, to be sure. But at the same time, uh, not too long ago, a few weeks ago now, we found some plastic in a bowl. Less of a screw up. So this is what a school regurgitates penguin feathers, things like that. And and bits of plastic that clearly came from the fishing industry. It's nowhere near as bad as you find out in the Hawaiian Islands or places like that, close to the Pacific Garbage Patch. But it's still worth thinking about that. You know, here at the end of the world where there are very few people, we still manage to dump a whole lot of trash into the ocean. During the weeks here in Antarctica, we have found quite a lot of marine debris. So that's basically waste that we found on beaches that we have visited. So we collected it all and we're taking pictures of it on the beach. Now. We can actually do a bit more forensic work with it. So we're going to take it all up here on deck and then go through it piece by piece where we're going to weight and measuring and trying to find, like, for example, glue. What make it ace or what companies that produce this, because that can tell us something of where the waste actually comes from. We have no idea how much is floating out there, you know, and hasn't quite made it ashore yet. Then those are the things that I worry about because those are the ones that are going to entangle a whale, a seal, a penguin or something like that. There are a lot of other beaches, rocky shores on Antarctica that we haven't explored.
