## Transcript

Record breaking film Captain America continues to dominate the box office. While Johnny Depp just barely makes the top five. But first. Aah! Marlon Wayans, professional comedian and screamer extraordinaire leads the horror spoof, A Haunted House 2. A Haunted House 2, boasted $ 4 million budget. $ 9 million worth of U. S tickets sold on its first weekend, has already brought in double its investment. The same cannot be said for Johnny Depp's latest film, Transendence, which brought in about $ 11 million over the weekend, but cost $ 100 million to make. Depp plays a brilliant scientist who was killed but whose mind is preserved in a computer.

This is Depp's third straight flop at the box office. The other two being the Lone Ranger and Dark Shadows. The bigger story of Easter Weekend though seems to be yet another faith film. God's not dead, Noah, Son of God and now Heaven is for Real. You saw my grandfather? Where did you see him? In heaven Heaven is for real tells the story of a young boy who had a near death. Experience after being revived. Claims he visited heaven. The movie is based on the New York Times best seller of the same name released in 2010. The faith- based film had a $ 12 million budget but is expected to bring in $ 21 million in its first weekend, winning the opening weekend battle with Transcendence by a large margin.

Coming in at number two for a second straight week is Rio 2. The animated comedy sequel is expected to top $ 22 million at the box office this weekend, putting its two week total around $ 75 million. But, if second place is good [ SOUND ], first place is better. Captain America, The Winter Soldier is number one for the third straight week, defeating all its enemies with an estimated $ 26 million total for the weekend. Big budget superhero action films continue to do well. Captain America is the the 12th Marvel film to earn more than $ 200 million in North America. Thanks for watching, I'm Jamal Landress.
