## Transcript

After 10 years, a California woman is back with her family after allegedly being held captive by Isidro Garcia, who she says kidnapped, rapped, and assaulted her for years. I'm so happy and God bless. I was 15, I can student. I can do nothing. I just did what, what he wants I did. According to police when the California woman was 15, Garcia assaulted the victim's mother then drugged the 15 year old girl and kidnapped her, taking her to a house in Compton and locking her in the garage. He kept her close by working with her on a night cleaning crew. And altered her birth certificate so they could get a marriage license.

She later gave birth to his child. Police say Garcia repeatedly told the victim her family had given up looking for her. And if she tried to go back to them, the family would be deported. After years of physical and mental abuse, police say, even when opportunities to escape presented themselves, the victim saw no way out of her situation until making contact with her sister on Facebook. Police say shortly after speaking with her sister, she gained the courage to contact the police. She escaped with her daughter and is now safe and sound with her family. Garcia is now in Santa Ana Police custody awaiting arraignment, which is scheduled for Thursday.

He has been charged with kidnapping for rape, lewd acts with a minor, and false imprisonment. I'm Jamal Andress.
