Tonight I lift a toast in honor of my mother, Pat Walker, who even though she grew up in a farmhouse where they didn't have indoor plumbing, until she went off to high school, she taught her children that they could do and be anything. Tonight I honor her and all the other mothers, here and around the world, who inspired you, here, and others like you around the world to do great things. And that, like my mother, she taught us that to do well in life, we needed to find ways to do good for others. To my mother and to all the others who inspired us, a toast. [ NOISE ]
