## Transcript

Okay, I think it's ready. Let's have a look. Most crispiest onion ring I've ever had, ever. You know what's fun to do while you wait? Ow. Just drink. [ MUSIC ] There may not be a recipe for YouTube success, but whatever these five cooks are serving up is working. Time talked to these chefs to get some hints about their secret sauce. Welcome to my kitchen. I'm Clara, I'm 95 years old. Today we're gonna make a meal from the Great Depression. Clara Cannucciari was a teenager in Chicago during the Great Depression. When her grandson began filming her in her kitchen, an internet audience got to know the grandma they never had.

You have to have lentils. Cuz they're not expensive, and they're nourishing, and they're good for you. Clara plans to retire from the show, but she's left her fans with a book, DVDs, and a lot of great stories. Here's a sample. When we were sick, we used to like meat with lemon juice. So we, sometimes we faked being sick, so we would get some meat with the lemon juice. My mother called it [ INAUDIBLE ] she's okay, nothings wrong with her. [ LAUGH ] So, so we'd have to get out of bed. Live a normal life. [ LAUGH ] that's how bad the depression was. [ MUSIC ] Brian Mannowitz, also known as the Vegan Black Metal Chef, is serious about both veganism, and black metal.

But even he admits the combination is funny. Cooking shows are boring, black metal is annoying to most people, and being a chef is the most obnoxious thing in the world. [ MUSIC ] That awesome. [ MUSIC ] A regular night will do. So when you beg light of it all, it becomes a very funny combination. Laugh if you want, but the music is all original, and the recipes are seriously good. [ MUSIC ] Hello, this is chef John from foodwishes. com. John Mitzewich is the only official chef in this lineup. And the only one who doesn't appear in his videos. When you watch the video and you're just following the narration, your sort of making the recipe with me.

Very simple. I'm gonna plop that in, and oh my God look at that. What sort of started as a low budget, I don't have any alternative format, basically became sort of like signature style, and I, I just stayed with it, because I don't have to shave or, er, you know, take a shower to do a video. I feel like I'm forggeting something. Oh yeah, the gratuitous popping of the yolk scene. Here we go. Check it out. Nice. Enjoy. [ MUSIC ] Hannah Heart likes to cook and drink. More specifically, she only likes to cook when she drinks. I don't know if you can tell, but I'm not the most confident, nor adept cook.

so, without the firing courage of liquor, I just don't wanna be anywhere near it. Maybe if I just opened the oven. Somehow there'll be a pie in there already. The first episode was a joke for a friend, and it wasn't intended to be the start of a series. People are like oh, please, please, please do a second one. I'm like alright, alright, alright. So I did that. And then they were like, do more! Yay! And I was like, okay, okay three! But that's it. Wash it first! And then I was like, okay, five. But that's it, no more. And now I'm like, whatever. [ INAUDIBLE ] 15 Big Macs, please! Excuse me? 15 Big Macs, please.

Harley Morenstein lives in a world where calorie counts and a grocery bill are no object. 15 Big Macs! 15 Baconators! 15 teen burgers, no veggies. Custom [ UNKNOWN ]. We're not, we're not angry. People are always like why are you so angry? Like, we're not angry but like, if we don't take this seriously. Like, who will? That's the burger base baconator layer player. And this is a serious issue. You know. People seem to be forgetting that bacon cheeseburgers are awesome. We've gotta remind them. And like, you know, what we're gonna take 30 bacon cheeseburgers, and we're gonna put it into a lasagna covered in Jack Daniels meat sauce and cheese.

And this is a good thing. And don't you ever forget that this is a good thing. [ NOISE ] Who's hungry now? [ MUSIC ]
