[ MUSIC ] One of the things that I like to accomplish in my photography is, yes maybe I'm photographing a musician, and it is Bruce Springsteen, and For that reason alone the photograph alone has merit, you know. I also hope that what I'm bringing to the table is adding to the photograph the moment, the light, the lens choice, you know, the moment I capture the collaboration between myself and the artist. And I think that, you know, music means so much to people. And as a photographer who photographs musicians and documents that process, I feel like I'm contributing to the history of that artist.

And the idea that it means so much to people. People use music to get through hard times, to celebrate the good times. The memories that music brings to people In their lives, and it's real important to me. And so if I can add to that, and if I can help people appreciate and enjoy music and photography, then that's what I'm trying to do. [ MUSIC ]
