>> You know, I was just thinking about global warming this morning. It's November and it's so warm that I went outside to get the newspaper and I was only wearing my boxer shorts. Pretty amazing, huh?

>> Sure it's this thing that we decided not to sign but everyone else did and it says right here that it's about to expire.

>> The Kyoto Protocol's pretty important. It set global standards to reduce harmful greenhouse emissions.

>> Let me stop you right there. Let me teach you something. It's a glacier, glaciers are made of ice and ice melts. It's the way things work.

>> Tens of thousands of years ago, most of our planet was covered in ice. Glaciers created the Rocky Mountains, they created the Great Lakes. But you know after that, things thawed out, they melted. And then the monkeys evolved into cavemen, the Vikings got drunk and discovered America, George Washington signed the Declaration of Independence and here we are now. Now it's all good.

>> Your facts are a little off. Actually, they're a lot off but let's stick to the environment. Northern climates like Juneau's are warming twice as fast as the lower latitude. Glacier National Park won't even

>> have glaciers in 20 years according to climate experts.

>> I knew this wasn't about golf.

>> Actually, it is about. The Mendenhall Golf Course used to be under the ocean but when the local glacier melted, land came up from under that weight and the tides pushed back enough for a nine hole golf course. Pretty soon it could be 18.

>> Well, you know what? It sounds like the people of Juneau are making the best of the situation. Golf brings in a lot of revenue.

>> This is becoming an environmental and economic problem for Alaska. Polar bears are stranded, the

>> Iditarod moved farther north, salmon are trying to find somewhere to swim.

>> Don't you understand? Polar bears don't carry wallets, salmon don't spend any money. You know what? this whole thing is beginning to bum me out. Can we please go somewhere where glaciers are not melting?

>> Okay, okay. You're right. Alaska is only one example, so let's go south.

>> Yeah, south. How about a nice trip to the beach?

>> Close. What we're going, you're gonna need those and you definitely gonna need those.

>> Hey, I thought we were going to a beach?

>> Sort of. Come on.
