## Transcript

-[ unk ], we've been struggling with this for 20 years and, at the current time, we're reaching back as far as the 67th grade mark. And we sponsor a group called Breakthrough and it's a bunch of [ unk ] around the country. But you reach in and you get gifted and talented kids from [ unk ]. And you pick them up in 6th grade nd you have a year and a half process and you know during summer and the whole goal is to get them into college and expose them of things and what have you. We are a member of A Plus Challenge. We bring teachers and principals in and get them- let them spend the week and show officers to see what kind of jobs there are because beauty of the space is we need electric engineers.

We need mechanical engineers. We need civil engineers, but we need financial people. We need [ unk ] engineers. We need accountants. We need communications people. Half of our project is now being [ unk ] and or is- it is- it is how you solve [ unk ] and what have you. And what troubles mean with this whole thing is that I judge the Houston Science for it and I have many years [ unk ] science for and there's 2 divisions- [ unk ] 7th and 8th grade and older 9th through 12th. And the 7th and 8th grade is typically won by a young woman and you can tell very quickly that they have done their work, they understand [ unk ] but they understand what they're doing.

When 9th grade comes around, there are no young women left for the [ unk ]. So, [ unk ] Breakthrough and I shall put so much into this is that you've gotta reach way back in this food chain and we've gotta get mentors, you know. Here, everybody in this room should have a piece of homework to get home and that mentor, a young person through your [ unk ], tourist business, trucks business, there's all kinds of things you can expose them to.
