## Transcript

German officials indicted a 95- year- old man they say was an SS medical orderly at the Nazis' Auschwitz camp. Hubert Zafke is facing more than 3, 600 counts of accessory to murder for just one month at the notorious World War II death camp in 1994. German prosecutors say Zafke knew Auschwitz was an industrial- scale mass murder site, like all other SS guards working there. Germany has taken steps to punished the surviving concentration camp workers in recent years even though those atrocities were committed decades ago. 94 year old Oskar Gröning known as the bookkeeper of Auschwitz was charge with accessory to murder and was sentenced to four years in jail in 2015 for the deaths of 300 Thousand people.

Throughout World War Two, Nazis killed an estimated 1. 1 million people at Auschwitz. Most of them were jewish. Zafke's trial is set to begin February 29th.
